Here to fundraise for childhood cancer in Wales

Be here to support families through childhood cancer in Wales.

Every donation helps Latch to provide emotional, practical, and financial support to children and families when they need it most.

We don’t receive any government funding.  Latch relies on the support of our community to continue being here for childhood cancer in Wales.

“I did my first half marathon for Latch when Max was having treatment. Without them, I can't foresee how we would have got through that time. As well as running, I’ve done physical challenges, going to base camp at Everest and climbing Kilimanjaro. I will continue to support Latch for as long as I physically can.”

Ken

Latch Volunteer and Fundraiser whose eldest son, Max, now 16, was two when he was diagnosed with leukaemia.

How you can help

From one-off gifts to regular donations, every contribution helps us be here for childhood cancer in Wales. There are so many ways to get involved, and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way:

  • Take on a Challenge – Run, walk, cycle, swim or climb in aid of Latch. Big or small, every challenge counts!
  • Host an Event – Coffee mornings, bake sales, raffles, quiz nights, or school dress-up days – fun for everyone and all in support of a great cause.
  • Fundraise at Work or School – Get your colleagues or classmates involved with team challenges, charity days, or matched giving.
  • Celebrate with Latch – Mark your birthday, wedding, or another special occasion by asking for donations instead of gifts.

Ideas to get you started

If you like the adrenaline of taking on a bigger challenge, we’d love to see your ideas. Here’s some we’ve seen supporters do.

  • Take on a skydive
  • Brave a bungee jump
  • Hike a mountain
  • Go for a New Year's lake dip
  • Organise a treasure hunt
  • Set up a bike relay

We know that making memories with your family is important. Why not get together and organise one of these.

  • Hold a pamper night
  • Have a clear out for a car boot
  • Have fun at a bingo night
  • Put on a quiz night
  • Get the board games out
  • Organise a house party

Sometimes the most well known fundraising events are the best. Why not rummage in the fundraising archives.

  • Head to your supermarket for a bag pack
  • Organise a bucket collection
  • Go silent for sponsorship
  • Brave a head shave
  • Give something up
  • Declutter and sale your items
