Ideas to get you started

If you like the adrenaline of taking on a bigger challenge, we’d love to see your ideas. Here’s some we’ve seen supporters do.

  • Take on a skydive
  • Brave a bungee jump
  • Hike a mountain
  • Go for a New Year's lake dip
  • Organise a treasure hunt
  • Set up a bike relay

We know that making memories with your family is important. Why not get together and organise one of these.

  • Hold a pamper night
  • Have a clear out for a car boot
  • Have fun at a bingo night
  • Put on a quiz night
  • Get the board games out
  • Organise a house party

Sometimes the most well known fundraising events are the best. Why not rummage in the fundraising archives.

  • Head to your supermarket for a bag pack
  • Organise a bucket collection
  • Go silent for sponsorship
  • Brave a head shave
  • Give something up
  • Declutter and sale your items

Host your own event

If challenges aren’t your thing, there are plenty of fun ways to get involved:

  • Coffee mornings and cake sales
  • Charity quiz nights or bingo evenings
  • Dress-up or dress-down days at work or school
  • Talent shows, concerts, or sponsored sings
  • Seasonal favourites – Christmas jumper days, Easter egg hunts, or summer BBQs

We do not receive governent funding. Our work is entirely funded by public donations, business support, fundraising and grants.

We are proud to be here for childhood cancer in Wales in many ways. Around 80 children in Wales are diagnosed with cancer each year and at any one time, Latch supports approximately 100 patients.

To deliver this vital support, Latch needs to raise over £900,000 annually. We rely on the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our volunteers to make this possible.
