Latch is delighted to announce the incredible results of our first-ever Big Give Christmas Challenge, which concluded on 9 December 2025. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, pledgers, and our Big Give Champion, The Reed Foundation, we raised a final total of £19,373 to support children and families affected by childhood cancer across Wales.

This fantastic total includes:

  • £3,750 from The Reed Foundation as our Champion
  • £5,000 from our pledgers, Cardiff Lift Company, Loud and Clear Accounting, Ceejay Autoworx and Caer Beris Lodges Riverside 29-30
  • The remaining amount was generously donated by the public
  • £1,489 so far in gift aid

The matched funding provided through The Reed Foundation meant that every pound donated during the campaign went twice as far, maximising the impact for families in need.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave and shared our campaign

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Latch can continue to provide vital support to families across Wales. Each year, this includes:

  • Supporting over 140 children and families
  • giving 740 grants to relieve financial pressures
  • Providing more than 1,400 nights of free hospital accommodation for families and carers
  • Hosting events attended by more than 700 children and family members

This first Big Give campaign has taught us valuable lessons and shown the extraordinary generosity of our supporters. We are thrilled with the outcome and hope to take part again next year, continuing to grow support for families affected by childhood cancer.

A huge thank you goes to The Reed Foundation for their championing of our campaign, our pledgers for committing to early donations, and every member of the public who gave, shared, and cheered us on. Your support ensures that Latch can continue to be here for childhood cancer in Wales, providing financial, practical, and emotional support when families need it most.

If you missed the campaign but would still like to support, donations are always welcome via our website, our amazon wish-list or our lottery

None of this would be possible without our supporters who ensure we can continue to be here for childhood cancer in Wales.
