PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM RELEASE CONSENT NOTICE

Background

Photographs and videos may constitute personal data. We have a Data Protection Privacy Policy which sets out how we will use your personal data and what your rights are. The privacy policy can be read here: www.latchwales.org/privacy-policy/. Alternatively, please ask the Latch team for a hard copy.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure images of children are used solely for the purposes they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform the Latch team in the Children’s hospital immediately.

We will not take or share photographs, video or other images of children and young people without the consent of the children involved and/or their parents or carers.

If a child is under 16, consent must be obtained from their parents or carers. If a child is over 16 they can give consent themselves but we will inform their parents/carers that photographs, video or other images of their child may be used if their child has given consent.

Please Note: By giving us consent to use photographs and video footage, you are giving us and any third party instructed by us to:

  • Permission to publish any and all photographs and video of you provide. These may be on an individual basis or group photographs/videos.
  • Store the photograph/video securely for 5 years unless you withdraw your consent prior to this.
  • Use the image/video on our website, on our social media platforms (which may be re-shared by third parties), internal communications, posters, leaflets, banners, videos, presentations, fundraising materials and any of our other publications in order to support our charitable objectives.
  • Use the image/video in press or media coverage to support our charitable objectives.
  • You confirm that you do not own any copyright or any other rights of ownership in the image/video.
  • You confirm you have permission and consent from any and all subjects of the photographs and/or video to share them for the purposes listed above.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of any use of your photographs and videos before you withdrew your consent. Please contact fundraising@latchwales.org should you wish to withdraw your consent.
