Latch Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity is proud to announce that Wales international and recently retired Scarlets rugby legend Jonathan ‘Foxy’ Davies has raised an incredible £40,000 for the charity during his testimonial year.
From June 2024 to May 2025, Jonathan dedicated his testimonial year with the Scarlets to supporting Latch, which provides bespoke emotional, practical and financial support for families affected by childhood cancer in Wales. His testimonial year featured a series of high-profile events in Llanelli, Cardiff and London uniting fans, former teammates and supporters across the globe.
In addition to raising this significant sum, Jonathan used his testimonial year as a platform to highlight Latch’s work. At each event he invited members of the Latch team, providing them with space to share their mission, showcase their services and connect directly with attendees. This helped to raise awareness of who Latch is and the vital work the charity does.
Last week, Jonathan and his family visited the Latch offices and Parents’ Accommodation at the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, to meet staff, volunteers and families before presenting the charity with the £40,000 cheque.
