We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Bluestone National Park Resort to offer free holidays to families affected by childhood cancer.
At Latch, holidays are a long-established part of the wellbeing support we offer, providing children, parents, and siblings the opportunity to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories together during what is often one of the most challenging periods a family can face.
This new formal partnership builds on the strong relationship already established between Latch and Bluestone. In 2025, Bluestone hosted a special Christmas Party for families supported by the charity living in West Wales.
"We're delighted to be partnering with Bluestone National Park Resort for our new holiday offer for Latch families,” said Menai Owen-Jones, CEO of Latch. “The resort has so much to offer families in all weathers and is located in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.
“A holiday can make a profound difference to the wellbeing of families affected by childhood cancer. Latch's aim is to ensure that every family we are currently supporting has the opportunity to benefit from a holiday, regardless of a family's financial circumstances.”
Sarah Chapman, Sales and Marketing Director at Bluestone said:
“We are so pleased to strengthen our relationship with Latch and we are proud to work with them. We look forward to welcoming the families to Bluestone, offering them the opportunity to enjoy our resort, away from hospital appointments and treatment schedules, and giving them time to relax, explore and enjoy nature.
“A childhood cancer diagnosis is an extremely difficult and stressful time for families. Our hope is that these breaks give families space to breathe, make memories and feel supported during an incredibly challenging journey.”
The five-star holiday resort is made for family holidays. Come rain or shine, Bluestone serves up a jam-packed schedule of activities and entertainment. Boasting luxury lodges, unlimited access to the Blue Lagoon – Bluestone’s subtropical indoor water park, imaginative play areas, adventurous activities and a wellness spa, there is something for everyone.
Our new free holiday offer launched today includes full cost of a Bluestone holiday lodge accommodation, complimentary hire of a Bluestone golf buggy for the duration of the stay
(subject to availability and a valid UK driving licence) and access to any complimentary activities offered by Bluestone. Holidays are for current Latch families and for immediate family (child, parents, siblings, and carers).
The legacy of Emyr and Chloe
For many years, Latch supported families through complimentary seaside caravan holidays in Wales. These holidays were made possible entirely through community generosity, and the remarkable commitment of families who wanted to give something meaningful back to others facing childhood cancer.
In particular, the families and friends of Emyr Owen and Chloe Evans, alongside their local communities, played a central role in sustaining this provision. Through their efforts families supported by Latch were able to stay at caravans in Trecco Bay, Porthcawl and Kiln Park, Tenby.
These holidays offered comfort, laughter, and precious time together after long periods of treatment and uncertainty.
The legacy of Emyr and Chloe has helped to shape Latch’s approach to family holidays today.
