As we look to 2025, LATCH will be starting a New Year with a new President.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Meriel Jenney, retired Executive Medical Director of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, as LATCH’s new Honorary President.
Professor Jenney has a long-established connection with LATCH through her work as a Consultant in Paediatric Oncology at the Children’s Hospital for Wales since 1996.
Professor Jenney led the children’s cancer services in Wales for over two decades and she also has a longstanding research interest in clinical trials in childhood sarcomas and the development of measures to assess the quality of life of children who have received treatment for cancer in childhood.
Susan Gwyer-Roberts DL, LATCH Chair of Trustees said: “On behalf of the Board I am delighted to welcome Professor Jenney as our new Honorary President, taking over from our long-standing former President, Judge Philip Price KC who retired last year.
Our Honorary President is a key public figurehead for LATCH, with the responsibility of supporting and championing our cause. I know that Professor Jenney, with her wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise will bring so much to the role and to our charity over the coming years.”
Congratulations to Professor Jenney!
