As part of our year of 40th anniversary celebrations, on Wednesday, 4th October, LATCH held a Reception at the Senedd to mark 40 years of working in Wales.
The event was sponsored by Member of the Senedd, David Rees MS and the Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan MS, provided a key note speech.
Thank you to those who attended and supported the evening, including Branches, supporters, volunteers, families, colleagues from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Members of the Senedd and other stakeholders. It was a memorable evening of looking back at LATCH’s work over the decades and also looking ahead to the future. It was an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the services of LATCH and to highlight the specialist needs of children and young people with cancer and their families to policy makers and others.
As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations LATCH are seeking to raise a total of £40,000 to go towards helping the charity to improve its family accommodation, holiday caravan facilities and its family support services.
There are a number of ways you can get involved, from undertaking an activity or challenge to fundraise or raise awareness of LATCH. There are so many things you can do with a 40th theme, such as running 40 miles, committing to 40 minutes of reading or even donating £40. You can find some ideas here.
If you would like to join in our 40th anniversary celebrations with a 40 themed challenge, why not join our team? You can join our team or donate to one of the many amazing LATCH supporters already fundraising here.
